Our rental hardware for Movebooth and Memento is designed to be as easy as possible with a tool-free setup that can be completed in just a couple of minutes!

Step 1: Unpack your Rental Hardware Kit

As you unpack your rental hardware kit, you'll find the following, likely in this order:

  1. A "Getting Started" postcard

  2. A prepaid UPS return label

  3. A main/head unit of our rental photo booth hardware kit comprising a ring light with an iPad installed in the center

  4. A height-adjustable "riser" portion of the photo booth stand, collapsed into the shortest/smallest position for packing and transport

  5. A "base" portion of the photo booth stand, collapsed into the flat/nested configuration for packing and transport

Step 2: Stick the Prepaid UPS Return Label on the Shipping Box

So you don't lose it, you might as well go ahead and stick the prepaid UPS Return Label over top of the original shipping label on the outside of the shipping box that the hardware rental kit arrived in at this time.

Step 3: Assemble the Photo Booth Hardware

We've made an assembly video that makes it super easy to follow along with your rental photo booth assembly. We recommend you watch the video, and then read the detailed step-by-step instructions below.

Step-by-Step Written Instructions

  1. Grab the "base" portion of the photo booth stand and locate the "collar" locking mechanism just under the thumb screw. Lift up on the locking collar and swing the legs all the way out into an open "tripod" configuration. The locking collar will click and lock back into place when all 3 legs of the base are swung all the way into the open position.

  2. Set the open stand base down on the ground, and loosen–but do not completely remove–the thumb screw at the top of the base.

  3. Grab the "riser" portion of the photo booth stand and slide the bottom end (the wider end) into the opening at the top of the "base" portion of the stand. If it does not fit easily, try loosening the base portion's thumb screw a bit more.

  4. When the "riser" portion of the stand is fully seated into the opening in the "base" portion of the stand, hand-tighten the thumb screw at the base of the stand to securely attach the riser to the base.

  5. Grab the main/head unit of the photo booth and, on a soft surface that will not scratch or damage the glass iPad screen, gently set it face down.

  6. Locate the thumb screw near the opening at the bottom of the mounting bracket attached to the main/head unit. This is the thumb screw with the longer handle. Loosen–but do not completely remove–this thumb screw.

    1. Note: The two other thumb screws with shorter and wider handles that are on the mounting bracket are for optionally adjusting the mounting angle of the main/head unit. These will arrive configured in a recommended position, and we do not recommend adjusting them until you have mounted the main/head unit onto the stand and determined that you definitely want the main/head unit tilted at a different angle.

  7. With both hands, carefully lift the main/head unit of the photo booth and slide the opening of the mounting bracket onto the post at the top of the riser portion of the photo booth stand.

  8. When the main/head unit mounting bracket is fully seated onto the post at the top of the riser portion of the photo booth stand, hand-tighten the thumb screw at the base of the head/main unit mounting bracket to securely attach the main/head unit to the stand.

  9. With all mounting point thumb screws hand-tightened, your photo booth is now safe to make height and angle adjustments using the remaining thumb screws on both the riser portion of the stand, as well as the pivot points on the mounting bracket at the back of the main/head unit.

    1. First, adjust the height to your preference by using the two non-mounting-point thumb screws on the riser portion of the stand.

    2. Next, adjust the main/head unit angle to your preference by using the two non-mounting-point thumb screws on the bracket at the back of the main/head unit.
